The editor of Outdoor Life magazine will be in Havre Wednesday.
Andrew McKean, a Glasgow resident and avid backcountry hunter, will share stories and photos of the wild public lands he knows so well during a presentation at Vizsla Brewing, a press release for the event says.
McKean also will share stories of his experiences living in eastern Montana and the challenges of conservation in this part of the state.
“Many tracts of public land beloved by hunters in eastern and central Montana are unprotected or underprotected, leaving the very qualities we cherish about these landscapes in jeopardy,” the release says.
McKean will discuss threats to Montana wildland and how to increase protections.
The presentation, sponsored by the Join Montana Wilderness Association and Montana Wildlife Federation, will begin at 7 p.m. Vizsla Brewing is located in the Holiday Village Mall at 1753 U.S. Highway 2 NW in Havre.
