Best Practice Medicine (BPM) is a Bozeman-based medical education company that specializes in training and preparing clinicians for low-frequency, high-consequence encounter. This fall, BPM will host an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course on the campus of MSU-Northern in Havre.
BPM’s EMT training courses focus on real-world application of skills learned, and as such, students spend ample time in hands-on exercises.
“We can tell you again and again how to perform a medical skill, but if you never get to actually practice it, you’re not going to be prepared when you encounter a real patient,” said Ben King, CEO and founder of BPM. “That’s why our students spend over half their course time on hands-on activities.”
The BPM team prides themselves on having over 220 years of combined medical experience. BPM instructors include current and former critical care helicopter team nurses and paramedics, emergency room physicians, ski patrollers, firefighters, ER nurses, and a former Air Force Pararescue Paramedic assistant program director-instructor.
The class starts September 10, with sessions every Monday and Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. and five Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
