Havre 911: Jan 31. to Feb. 6

The following are Havre Police Department and the Hill County Sheriff’s Office reports. Both agencies respond to animal control calls, as well.

Friday, Jan. 31

8:39 a.m. First Street. A male passed out in the hall.

9:50 a.m. A caller reported an abandoned dog at the dump. Meanwhile, he was on the phone with someone who was telling the caller the dog belonged to him.

10:37 p.m. Sixth Street. A black pit bull was running free in the neighborhood.

12:23 p.m., Seventh Avenue. Somebody’s phone was messed up and wouldn’t let her hang up, a caller said while on the phone with police. Everything else was fine.

8:04 p.m. Spruce Drive. Someone was missing a package.

9:09 p.m. A 5-gallon bucket was sitting in the middle of the middle traffic lane. The caller wasn’t sure if there was anything in it.

Saturday, Feb. 1

12:05 a.m. Main Street. A possibly drunk male was trespassing. He leaned up against a train car and fell.

12:51 p.m. Seventh Street. A drunk male was going in and out of buildings.

1:40 p.m. Boulevard Avenue. Someone told dispatch she was concerned about people who were stuck in traffic near Great Falls. She was referred to law enforcement in Cascade County.

1:52 p.m. Third Avenue. A male passed out on the floor outside the casino.

5:25 p.m. First Street grocery. There was a drunk man on the bench outside. Police arrested a Havre man, 30, on shoplifting and trespassing charges.

7:33 p.m. Second Street. A drunk woman was being obnoxious and yelling and spitting at the male she was with, a caller reported. Police arrested a 56-year-old woman on a disorderly conduct charge.

Sunday, Feb. 2

1:34 a.m. 13th Street. There were people in the parking lot fighting.

12:35 p.m. A driver appeared to be beating on someone, or something was causing him to swerve.

1:15 p.m. Fourth Avenue. A caller reported finding a cell phone during a morning run.

5 p.m. First Street grocery. A man stole meat, a caller reported. Police arrested a 51-year-old man on charges of shoplifting and obstruction.

5:35 p.m. Someone driving a white Dodge was trying to run him off the road, a caller reported.

5:38 p.m. U.S. Highway 2. A man was walking in the middle of the road. As the reporting party passed him, the person fell into a ditch.

6:14 p.m. Fifth Avenue. A female was sending threatening messages.

Monday, Feb. 3

1:33 a.m. Seventh Avenue. Someone said she didn’t know what was going on but she could hear loud music and yelling.

3:37 a.m. Third Street. A caller reported his brother wanted to fight everyone.

1:52 p.m. Fourth Street facility. Someone was trying to dial out, but she called the police instead.

5:53 p.m. Third Street. A man passed out half on the lawn and half on the sidewalk. Police arrested a 57-year-old man on a disorderly conduct charge.

10:39 p.m. Rocky Boy. Someone pocket dialed the police while watching TV.

Tuesday, Feb. 4

12:05 a.m. Second Street. A caller reported his neighbor was hammering something.

9:17 p.m. Police investigated a report of a stolen hydraulic jack.

Wednesday, Feb. 5

3:05 p.m. First Street. Police investigated after receiving a reported from someone who said his son was bitten by a dog as he got off the bus.

3:23 p.m. Someone found a stray cat.

5:17 p.m. Rudyard. Someone complained about a bicyclist in the area.

5:24 p.m. A caller reported harassing messages.

Thursday, Feb. 6

8:27 p.m. Fourth Street. A male was acting out in the Havre City Court lobby. He received a verbal warning.

10:29 a.m. First Street. Police responded to a report about a male passing out in the casino. A 21-year-old man was arrested on several warrants, as well as a disorderly conduct charge.

10:31 p.m. Someone found $61 lying on the ground.

11:18 a.m. First Street lodging business. A fake $50 bill was reported.

3:23 p.m. U.S. Highway 2. A man locked his key in his vehicle.

3:51 p.m. Second Street. Police investigated a report involving stolen medication and clothes from the caller’s vehicle.

5:07 p.m. 10th Street. Someone tried hacking into her computer, a caller reported.

5:17 p.m. First Street. A Ford Escape and another Ford Escape crashed into each other.
