Havre 911: Watch Out For The Mattress In The Road – Havre Herald

The following are Havre Police Department and Hill County Sheriff’s Office reports made between April 24 and May 1. Both agencies respond to animal control calls as well.

Friday, April 24

6:47 a.m., Fourth Street. Someone reported finding a syringe.

11:49 a.m., First Street convenience store. A scratch ticket had been stolen.

1:42 p.m., 14th Street. Someone was missing two cats.

1:58 p.m., 10th Street. Police arrested two people during a vehicle stop: a 30-year-old Havre man on charges including driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license and possession of dangerous drugs and a 28-year-old Havre man on charges including resisting arrest, obstruction, and possession of dangerous drugs.

2:52 p.m., 10th Street. Police arrested a 37-year-old Havre man on a partner or family member assault charge.

7:18 p.m., First Street store. A vehicle was driving on the curb.

11:58 p.m., 19th Avenue. A man was yelling at a woman. Police arrested a 28-year-old Havre man on a partner or family member assault charge.

Saturday, April 25

10:51 a.m., Seventh Avenue. Someone reported stolen knives.

12:15 p.m., First Avenue. Police investigated a reported hit-and-run.

2:25 p.m., 16th Street. A fight was happening. The incident was resolved peacefully.

3:15 p.m., Land Drive. A cat was lost.

3:56 p.m., 17th Street. Someone reported a possible stolen dog.

6:45 p.m., First Street store. A man was being aggressive to customers, a caller reported.

Sunday, April 26

1:35 a.m., First Street convenience store. An intoxicated man was trying to drive, a caller reported. Police arrested a 26-year-old Rocky Boy man on charges including obstruction, disorderly conduct, DUI, and resisting arrest.

12:08 p.m., First Street. Someone reported threats.

4:37 p.m., Fourth Street. A bike was abandoned.

6:05 p.m., First Street convenience store. Two people wouldn’t move along from the store, a caller reported. Police arrested a 49-year-old Box Elder woman on criminal trespass to property charge and a misdemeanor warrant and a 57-year-old Box Elder man on a criminal trespass to property charge.

10:28 p.m., First Street. A man was trying to kick in the door. Police arrested a 42-year-old Havre man on charges of obstruction, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief, as well as a misdemeanor warrant.

Monday, April 27

1:35 a.m., Fourth Street and 17th Avenue. A 16-year-old was ticketed on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and juvenile curfew violations.

8:58 a.m., Havre. Police investigated a report about a man breaking into a trailer.

10:55 a.m., Havre. Police arrested a 42-year-old Billings man for failure to register as a sexual or violent offender.

3:29 p.m., Third Street. A dog was chained up outside.

4:44 p.m., First Street. A suspicious man was reported.

7:01 p.m., First Street. Some kids were playing in a yard that wasn’t theirs.

9:04 p.m., 11th Street. Two motorbikes were racing up and down the hill by the water tower. Police arrested a 33-year-old Havre man on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked drier’s license, operating a motor vehicle without valid registration, and no motorcycle endorsement, as well as a misdemeanor warrant.

9:30 p.m., Second Street. People were threatening them, a caller reported.

Tuesday, April 28

4:34 p.m., First Street store. A stolen pack of beer was reported. Police ticketed a 43-year-old Havre man on a shoplifting charge.

8:59 p.m., 12th Avenue. A man was lying in the middle of the street. Police arrested a 57-year-old Box Elder man on a disorderly conduct charge.

11:03 p.m., U.S. Hwy 2. Someone called 911 to report a mattress and a box spring in the middle of the road. Twenty-two minutes later, someone else reported a vehicle accident, as a sedan hit a mattress and box spring that were in the road.

Wednesday, April 29

1:28 a.m., Sixth Avenue. People were pounding on the landlord’s door.

2:56 a.m., Third Street. Someone texted 911 and reported a fight. Police arrested a 29-year-old Havreite on charges of obstruction and resisting arrest.

3:24 a.m., Havre. Someone kept calling 911 and hanging up.

12:15 p.m., Third Street. A caller said she was having issues with a tenant who wasn’t leaving despite being served an eviction notice.

1:42 p.m., Beaver Creek Road. A caller accidentally called 911 when he tried to turn up his music.

5:38 p.m., Havre. Someone reported a lost wallet.

7:50 p.m., Havre. Someone else reported finding a wallet.

10:31 p.m., 15th Street. A man and woman were yelling at each other.

Thursday, April 30

10:11 a.m., Havre. Police arrested a 29-year-old Havre man on the charge of failing to register as a sexual or violent offender.

11 a.m., U.S. Hwy 2. A black Ford pulling an enclosed trailer was speeding all over the north side.

3:33 p.m., First Street. A caller reported they believed someone broke into their apartment.

4:17 p.m., Fifth Avenue. Someone was missing a turquoise Chromebook. She had it on top of her car and accidentally drove off, the caller reported.

5:50 p.m., Havre. Two kids were driving four-wheelers over the skate park and on the grass.

7:06 p.m., First Street. Police arrested a 49-year-old Box Elder woman on charges of disorderly conduct, having an open container, and criminal trespass to property.

7:50 p.m., Havre. A caller reported that a friend stole her wallet and used her credit card.

10:54 p.m., Third Street. A jail inmate told police someone might have been in her house who shouldn’t be.

Friday, May 1

4:24 a.m., 11th Street convenience store. Someone reportedly found a bag of drugs.

4:27 a.m., Havre. A caller reported that someone, who was possibly intoxicated, was driving 10 mph down 11th Street.
