Havre 911: Prowling and Creeping Around – Havre Herald

The following are Havre Police Department and Hill County Sheriff’s Office reports made between April 3 and April 10. Both agencies respond to animal control calls as well.

Friday, April 3

9:27 a.m., Fifth Street. Someone reported footprints outside their window.

5:32 p.m., Main Street (Box Elder). Deputies ticketed a 57-year-old person on a disorderly conduct charge.

6:05 p.m., Hwy 87 business. Deputies arrested a 29-year-old Box Elder man on charges of disorderly conduct and assault and a misdemeanor warrant.

7:29 p.m., Fourth Street (Carpenter Park). A caller reported to police that three people were playing tennis at the park. No further action was required.

8:42 p.m., First Street business. Someone wanted to speak to an officer about a bar being open. A verbal warning was issued.

Saturday, April 4

1:04 a.m., Havre. Officers arrested a 47-year-old Box Elder man on a charge of failing to register as a sexual offender or violent offender.

6:52 a.m., Seventh Avenue. Someone wanted information from the police about their power outage.

7:09 a.m., Seventh Avenue. Someone had a medical question.

7:45 a.m., Hill County. A caller reported horrible road conditions.

5:10 p.m., Third Avenue. A suspicious male was reported.

6:40 p.m., Second Street. Police investigated a report involving stolen guns.

10:29 p.m., Jefferson Avenue. A caller reported possible underage drinking.

11:10 p.m., Lower Box Elder-Monteaux intersection. A Havre woman was ticketed on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge.

Sunday, April 5

1:10 a.m., First Street convenience store. A suspicious vehicle was parked in front of the store.

8:20 a.m., 14th Avenue. A caller said a black-and-white blue heeler was shivering on their porch.

10:16 a.m., Havre. Someone accidentally dialed 911. He wasn’t sure how that happened since he was on the phone with someone else.

4:34 p.m., 14th Street. Someone reported their parents were arguing. The incident was resolved peacefully.

7:49 p.m., Second Street. A car was speeding around the neighborhood.

Monday, April 6

10:12 a.m., Havre apartment complex. A big truck dropped off a golden lab-type dog in the parking lot and was chasing it around.

11:20 a.m., Seventh Street. Someone’s identity may have been stolen.

12:16 p.m., Fifth Avenue business. A caller had questions about out-of-state people who were here.

2:50 p.m., Havre. Someone reported they received a letter about having student loans.

6:03 p.m., Fifth Street. A neighbor’s dog attacked her 6-year-old son and dog, a caller reported.

7:17 p.m., Second Street. A blue car with tinted windows was driving crazy around the trailer park.

8:57 p.m., Ninth Avenue. A caller said the neighbor across the street was screaming and yelling.

Tuesday, April 7

8:20 a.m., Washington Avenue. A caller wanted to talk to someone at the police station about the wooden barriers.

12:16 p.m., Third Street. A female had been drunk for the last two days. She’d been walking around and yelling and was now in the driver’s seat of a white Chrysler, a caller reported.

12:42 p.m., Seventh Street. Police arrested a 29-year-old Havre woman on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with six warrants.

5:06 p.m., east of Havre. Someone complained about a lot of traffic.

6:38 p.m., Hwy 87. Deputies arrested a 41-year-old Box Elder man on a partner or family member assault charge.

8:38 p.m., 16th Street. People were banging on the door.

9:43 p.m., First Street. Someone reported lots of screaming and yelling.

Wednesday, April 8

3:23 a.m., Second Street. Someone was prowling around outside. The caller called back a couple hours later saying someone was “creeping” around again.

10 a.m., U.S. Hwy 2. A suspicious male driver was screaming at people.

11:18 a.m., First Street. Someone reported animal abuse.

3:40 p.m., Second Street. A man was lying on the ground.

Thursday, April 9

9:18 a.m., 13th Street. Dispatch received a call about three people who were fighting outside. Police arrested a 24-year-old Havre man on a disorderly conduct charge.

1:25 p.m., U.S. Hwy 2 store. Someone lost their wallet.

5:10 p.m., 34th Street business. Deputies arrested a 71-year-old Havre man on an obstruction charge and a 25-year-old woman on a misdemeanor warrant.

5:32 p.m., Fourth Avenue. Someone may have found drug paraphernalia.

5:42 p.m., 13th Street. A caller had questions about quarantine.

7:06 p.m., 18th Street. A suspicious man was knocking on doors.

7:23 p.m., First Street store. A male shoplifted and took off toward the Shanty bar, a caller reported. Police ticketed a 54-year-old Box Elder man on a theft charge.

7:39 p.m., First Street (Town Square). Two people sitting on the park bench were acting strangely. They were yelling at vehicles. Police issued a verbal warning.

9:08 p.m., First Street. Someone found a needle on the ground.

9:42 p.m., Fourth Avenue. Four neighbor kids were sleeping in a tent, a caller reported. No further action was required.

11:38 p.m., First Street convenience store. A man riding a bike and wearing a camouflage coat and orange coat tried to steal beer, a caller reported. Police ticketed a 54-year-old Box Elder man on a theft charge, the same man from the 7:23 p.m. call.

Friday, April 10

5:11 a.m., 12th Street. A baseball bat versus a bedroom window was reported.
