The following are Havre Police Department and Hill County Sheriff’s Office reports made between April 10 and April 16. Both agencies respond to animal control calls as well.
Friday, April 10
1:22 p.m., 11th Street convenience store. Someone reported finding a puppy in a dumpster.
2:21 p.m., First Street Northeast. A couple was arguing. Police arrested a 38-year-old Havre man on charges of violating a restraining order and probation conditions.
3:21 p.m., Third Street. Someone shot a truck window.
3:23 p.m., First Street convenience store. Someone stole beer, a caller reported. Police arrested a 51-year-old Harlem man on a theft charge.
3:30 p.m., First Street. A caller reported that someone may have been living in a motel that had been shut down.
4:32 p.m., U.S. Hwy 2 store. Police arrested a 25-year-old Box Elder man on a shoplifting charge.
5:57 p.m., Fourth Street. A suspicious vehicle was reported.
7:51 p.m., Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation. A disoriented woman was walking without shoes, a caller reported. Dispatch notified Rocky Boy police.
8:26 p.m., Ninth Avenue lodging business. A caller reported that a woman would not leave his residence. Police arrested a 44-year-old Box Elder woman on a criminal trespass to property charge.
Saturday, April 11
2:12 a.m., First Avenue. A man and woman were yelling at each other.
11:56 a.m., Havre. Someone found a cat.
4:38 p.m., Eighth Avenue. A man was drunk. Police issued a verbal warning.
10:24 p.m., Sixth Street. A caller reported hearing sounds like someone running on his roof.
11:56 p.m., Fifth Street. A woman tried to kick in a door.
Sunday, April 12
2:40 a.m., Fourth Avenue. A caller reported he thought someone was in his upstairs apartment.
3:25 a.m., Seventh Avenue. Someone complained about noise.
4:47 a.m., Second Street. Someone wanted officers to drive by.
4:30 p.m., 14th Street. A man wearing a camo coat, black pants, and a black hoodie was walking in a field behind their house, a caller reported.
9:08 p.m., Seventh Avenue. Two people started a fire in the Pepin Park pavilion, a caller reported. Police issued a verbal warning.
10:20 p.m., Third Street. A caller reported the neighbor was revving a car and there were several loud bangs.
Monday, April 13
12 p.m., Havre convenience store. A caller told police he was confronted at the store a couple of days ago by a man in a pickup.
2:55 p.m., First Street convenience store. Four to five people were behind a gas station “social drinking,” a caller reported.
4:40 p.m., 86th Avenue. A man and woman were yelling and pushing each other around, a caller reported.
5:53 p.m., First Street convenience store. A man wearing a camo coat, jeans, and a black backpack stole beer. He took a 30-pack of Natural Light, the caller reported.
6:09 p.m., First Street. Dispatch received a report that a woman was attacked by a man and a woman. Police ticketed a 24-year-old Havre man and a 16-year-old, each on an assault charge.
6:43 p.m., First Street convenience store. A beer theft was reported.
11:36 p.m., Fourth Street. A 35-year-old Havreite was arrested on charges of assault with a weapon and partner or family member assault.
Tuesday, April 14
1:40 a.m., U.S. Hwy 2. Deputies arrested a 27-year-old Box Elder man on a disorderly conduct charge.
8:34 a.m., Seventh Avenue. A caller reported that a man in a lime-green hoodie came on her porch and tried to steal her gas can, then took off in a white car. Police arrested a 42-year-old Great Falls man on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, and failure to produce proof of insurance.
11:14 a.m., U.S. Hwy 2 store. Deputies arrested a 40-year-old Box Elder woman on a criminal trespass to property charge.
11:42 a.m., Havre. Someone accidentally dialed 911 while putting her cellphone in her car cupholder.
12:45 p.m., Fifth Street. A caller reported that her brother was out of control.
5:07 p.m., Havre. Someone reported having issues with a four-door Cadillac.
5:36 p.m., First Street. Someone was driving with a baby in her lap.
5:49 p.m., First Street. A caller wanted to relay information to the drug task force.
5:50 p.m., 13th Street. A caller reported a stolen knife.
6:12 p.m., First Street restaurant. Teens were trying to get into vehicles.
8:04 p.m., First Street. Kids were messing around on the property.
8:52 p.m., Hill County. A caller reported their parents were fighting.
9:13 p.m., U.S. Hwy 2. A vehicle smelled of weed and alcohol.
9:25 p.m., Second Street. A group of people were drinking in the alley.
Wednesday, April 15
4:55 a.m., 10th Street. A group of kids were running in and out of the building and throwing things at the building.
4:20 p.m., First Street. Someone found a bike.
7:41 p.m., 13th Street (Northern Montana Hospital). Police investigated a reported dog bite.
11 p.m., 13th Street. A man was pacing up and down the street and stopping to stare at houses, a caller reported.
Thursday, April 16
3:18 p.m., First Street convenience store. Someone stole beer, a caller reported. Police ticketed a 54-year-old Rocky Boy man on shoplifting and probation violation charges.
4:53 p.m., Second Street. A suspicious man was reported.
5:57 p.m., 13th Street (Northern Montana Hospital). Someone reported a combative patient.
9:10 p.m., Havre. Police arrested a 43-year-old Great Falls man on a traffic warrant.
