FBI, Tribal Police Continue Investigating Hit-And-Run Fatality Of 16-Year-Old; Girl Identified

Lacey Kaide Arkinson, 16, of Rocky Boy, has been identified as the victim of a hit-and-run accident on the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation at around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Hill County Sheriff Jamie Ross, the county coroner, released her name Monday.

She was struck by a dark-colored Dodge Journey minivan, and the driver sped away.

FBI, Rocky Boy police and other local law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident. FBI officials released a brief update Monday morning, saying the investigation was continuing and no arrests have been made.

The victim was a junior at Rocky Boy High School. She often went by her middle name, Kaide. She is the daughter of Violet Arkinson and Frank Parisian Sr.

Funeral services were held on the reservation over the weekend.
